I write this as the clock ticks past midnight on a truly pivotal day in the lives of your faithful blog veterans Funkmaster D and I.
For today, Grand Theft Auto IV is released.
The next installment in the franchise that has brought so much joy and escapism to our lives on and off for over 6 years.
It is fitting that on such a day, this bold decision regarding the blogs future be executed by its very founder.

Hmmmm,
I must concede i'm not really convinced by your sentiments moff. Funk and i have been trying to pump some life back into this creation but you, the founder, seem to be, in recent times, only the leader by default.
You have blogged 4 times since October 20- when you ranted about "i cant believe its not bacon". These 4 times have been to issue warnings regarding not blogging and to make a political point with wylk. hardly blogs in the truest nature of our site.
In this latest blog you speak of a "bold decision regarding the blogs future be exectured by its very founder" etc etc but i see nothing to back it up.If anything, your blog undermines what funk and i have been trying to do.
Has the fire inside of you really been reignited or is this blog merely an old flame that you turn to in the lonesome late hours of the night?
The proof is in the pudding moff and we, your once attentive followers, have not eaten for a very long time.

As I have communicated to you personally already, you make very valid points, and I agree wholeheartedly that I have recently not been nearly as prevalent as I or you would like.
But I must pick you up on your unashamed sensationalism. You mentioned I have blogged 4 times since Oct 20 07. It may also be stated that I have blogged 7 times since Oct 10 07, and these additional 3 times have all been perfectly cromulent blogs.
Not saying I disagree with the premise of your comment, nothing could be further from the truth. I'm simply illustrating how you conveniently omitted a mere 10 days in order to bolster your argument.

Funny, i always envisaged my captain as a man (or woman) of integrity- not one who would turn to flinging mud at the first sign of criticism.

As you can clearly see, my reply was certainly not an attempt to "ween my way out of critical comments". I accepted them head on.
If you agree with what i was saying in my first comment then i don't see the need nor point of suggesting it was unashamed sensationalism / current affairs tactics.
at the end of the day i was right and you and smid agreed. the comment got its point across. end of.
I don't see the need personally to try and get 'one up' on something that was already done and dusted- all it has done is detracted from your latest excellent blog.
If you accepted what i was saying "head on" then you wouldnt feel the need to post about your 3 blogs prior to the example i used.
