Reasons why i hate the power:- The stupid name. I mean really, who thought it was a good idea to call a football team 'the power'. What does that mean?
- There are a reincarnation of Port Adelaide in the SANFL. I hate them even more.
- Teal blue
- The fans - Why are there so many ferals, that can't have a reasoned conversation about footballing ability without randomly breaking into a throaty 'C'arn the Power'?
- That they have two brothers playing for them who are really really good, and also happen to be the sons of Adelaide's first ever coach. Surely there should be some Father / Son rule that makes them play for us..
- They are in the Grand Final and Adelaide aren't.
Reasons to not Hate the Power
- They're not Collingwood.

I hate Power much more than Collingwood.
And i guess 'the power' means that they have the ability to use their 'power' to kill off teams in the second quater when they are 5 goals up...
as opposed to Adelaide, who are not 'the power', who let Hawthorn come back after being up in the second by enough to kill the game off with a few quick goals.
I hate power and paying them any compliments is gaytown, but they shit all over the crows in that department.
If not me, then who's going to argue with the arguer?
What does power mean?
1) ability, or the possession of qualities
2) possessing or excercising influence or authority
3) (one you in particular should have known ) the eleventh album by American rock band Kansas, released in 1986 (ZING)
I don't know, but they seem to be quite desrirable qualities for a competitive outfit (the first 2 anyway).
A reincarnation of the most successful football team in Australia, one with a real culture and solid fan base (not people who jump ship or turn on the team at their first loss, as per the Crows)?
Teal? A nice colour.
Fans? Nowhere near as bad as Collingwood fans. (or Crows fans are to their own team)
Cornes? Who would have coached Port Adelaide if they existed at the time.
The two best teams throughout the finals AND home and away season are in the grand final? how unfair.
But I do agree on one thing - at least they're not Collingwood.
I hate to disagree with you RE, especially when you're argueing with the funkmaster 2000, but Cornes would not have coached port if they had of been first into the AFL.
He hates them more than we do, even now he says that he follows their results and supports his boys, but he will never support port.
There should be more south australians like him.
somewhere between the opening bunce and half time i suddenly became acutely aware of my new found joy that port power were in the grand final.
sometimes, obviously not when the hawks beat the crows, but sometimes, life is beautiful
